    Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler

    Job Description

    As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling parts and units by reading and interpreting work orders or receiving verbal instructions. You will position and align parts, connect component lead wires, and perform operations such as crimping, soldering, and mounting assembled components on chassis panels. You will also install finished assemblies in cases and cabinets and adjust components to achieve specified characteristics.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret work orders and follow sample assemblies.

    + Pull parts for shop floor orders and assemble parts/units according to work instructions.

    + Position and align parts in specified relationships to each other using fixtures or holding devices.

    + Perform operations such as crimping, staking, screwing, bolting, riveting, soldering to join or secure parts.

    + Mount assembled components like transformers, resistors, and sockets on chassis panels.

    + Connect component lead wires to printed circuits or route wires between components.

    + Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.

    + Assemble and attach hardware such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches.

    + Perform intermediate assembly tasks as needed.

    + Adjust or trim materials from components to achieve electrical or dimensional specifications.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ years of mechanical assembly experience.

    + 1+ years of manufacturing experience.

    + Experience using hand and power tools.

    + Knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly, including soldering, wiring, and circuit boards.

    + Ability to read blueprints and interpret instructions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

    + Experience in utilizing hand and power tools.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a clean environment at a steady pace. The dress code includes wearing long pants such as jeans, khakis, or Dickies. The first shift runs from 7am-3:30pm, offering various opportunities in production line assembly, PC Board assembly, and LV/EM electro-mechanical roles. The second shift is available for cabinet assembly, painting, and sheet metal tasks from 3pm-11:30pm.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
