    Description

    Lisa Cole with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and enhance our company’s accounting operations in Sacramento, California. This role focuses on managing daily accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations, The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, technical accounting expertise, and a proven ability to foster a high-performing team.     Responsibilities:

    • Supervise daily accounting operations, including payroll, general ledger activities, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

    • Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.

    • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial assets and mitigate risks.

    • Manage the preparation of accurate financial statements and supplemental reports in adherence to applicable standards.

    • Coordinate tax compliance activities, including corporate tax filings and adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.

    • Facilitate the annual audit process by assisting external auditors and ensuring timely documentation.

    • Collaborate with the FP& A team to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive enhancements to accounting procedures.

    • Recruit, train, and mentor accounting staff, fostering growth and development.

    • Conduct performance evaluations and enforce firm policies to maintain a culture of accountability and excellence.

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

    • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles.

    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure is preferred.

    • Strong technical expertise in accounting standards, internal controls, and audit practices.
