Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a dynamic wealth management firm. This position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the accounting function while contributing to strategic initiatives for the firm. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proactive professionals with expertise in public accounting and a passion for delivering high-quality financial services.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for executive review.

• Develop and manage budgets and cash flow projections to ensure financial stability.

• Coordinate tax documentation and filings while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

• Strengthen internal controls and optimize accounting procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including tracking updates and implementing best practices.

• Collaborate with the team to provide financial planning, tax coordination, and accounting services to high-net-worth clients.

• Contribute to system improvements and process enhancements to support the firm’s growth.

• Assist leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.

• Provide strategic guidance on regulatory risks and compliance practice

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or auditing, preferably within public accounting.

• Familiarity with wealth management, family office operations, or high-net-worth client services is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of regulatory filings and compliance standards, including Form filings.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and advanced knowledge of Excel.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

• Proactive mindset with a commitment to contributing to organizational growth and success.
