Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Controller for a position in Norfolk, VA. This critical role will ensure compliance with government contract regulations, drive financial planning and analysis, and provide key insights to support organizational decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, deep expertise in government contracting, and a proactive approach to financial stewardship.

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

+ Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

+ Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, GAAP, and SOX regulations.

+ Oversee revenue recognition and cost allocation for government contracts.

+ Develop and maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness.

+ Prepare and present financial reports, CAPEX justifications, and margin analyses.

+ Safeguard company assets and manage inventory performance.

+ Provide strategic insights to support pricing optimization and business growth.

+ Manage legal contracts, insurance policies, and key business documentation.

What We’re Looking For:

+ Extensive experience in accounting and financial leadership roles.

+ Proven success managing teams and navigating complex government contracts.

+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

+ Costpoint and DOD experience desired.

+ Deep understanding of compliance, internal controls, and performance evaluation.
