Job Title: Operator
Job Description
As an Operator, you will routinely use molds and presses in the production process to produce first part and regular production parts efficiently and with minimal supervision. This role requires the ability to work on manufacturing assignments according to written procedures, recognizing any deviations from accepted practices, and collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
+ Operate press machine to create parts using molds.
+ Clean and prime parts with appropriate chemicals and solutions.
+ Measure stock to ensure correct thickness and length.
+ Place a variety of materials by hand in mold, on the mandrel, or in the build fixture.
+ Weigh stock and scrap for salvage.
+ Monitor individual production for bad parts to detect defects early.
+ Use production equipment and tools, such as calipers and scales, regularly.
+ Complete materials handling recordkeeping according to company and ISO standards.
+ Follow internal safety policies and procedures at all times.
+ Maintain a work area free of safety hazards and clutter, including area setup and cleanup at the start and end of the shift.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
+ Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
+ Experience using hand tools to fabricate parts.
+ Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
+ Hand dexterity for production and finishing tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Skilled in using hand tools including calipers, depth gages, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
+ Combination of relevant education and experience can be considered in lieu of exact education.
Work Environment
This role operates within a manufacturing environment, requiring the ability to work under variable environmental conditions. These conditions may include temperature instability, exposure to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or vapors, and exposure to solvents and other industrial chemicals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcminnville, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.30 - $20.00/hr.
