Job Title: HVAC Technician
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician with a strong background in operating and maintaining equipment in the field. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of equipment, piping ductwork, dampers, valves, air movement, and exhaust systems. Familiarity with refrigeration systems and a refrigeration license is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
+ Operate and maintain HVAC equipment in the field.
+ Perform general HVAC maintenance, inspection, and repair on equipment such as pumps, filters, compressed air systems, and air units.
+ Break down and prioritize maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks, including turn-offs, shutdowns, LOTO, commissioning, and inspections.
+ Conduct repairs and handle commissioning and inspections, potentially involving work at heights and in confined spaces.
+ Ensure all work follows Health & Safety procedures, demonstrating the ability to explain, listen, and adhere to safety rules.
+ Communicate effectively using a two-way radio and occasionally a cell phone.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in operating HVAC equipment.
+ Knowledge of ductwork, dampers, valves, and air movement systems.
+ Ability to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
+ High level of communication skills.
+ Understanding of Fall Protection & Procedure.
+ Health & Safety awareness.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Refrigeration experience and license.
+ Knowledge of confined spaces.
+ Experience in electrical, construction, and industrial troubleshooting and repair.
+ Supervisory skills.
+ Semi-conductor background is a plus.

Work Environment
This position is located in a large warehouse where in-warehouse transportation is provided. The role requires being on your feet most of the day in a potentially dirty environment. Some tasks may involve elevated work and exposure to outdoor conditions.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Austin, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.94 - $37.94/hr.
