    Job Title: 1st Shift Quality Control Technician

    Job Description

    Join our team as a 1st Shift Quality Control Technician, where you will play a crucial role in eliminating in-process scrap and ensuring high-quality work through line inspection during production runs. You'll have the opportunity to educate operators and set-up technicians about basic inspection tools and techniques.

    Responsibilities

    + Review data and revisions on job sheets, prints, and variable sheets.

    + Compare new and previous 1st Articles to verify data.

    + Perform 1st Article Inspections.

    + Check 1-3 parts at random machines in manufacturing departments including finish, pin measurement, OD/ID, root size, runout, and length of cut.

    + Conduct in-process inspections.

    + Work flexibly across multiple departments as needed.

    + Assist with blank inspection from internal blanking and blank suppliers as required.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in operating vari-roll testing fixtures.

    + Ability to use optical comparators and the person Machine.

    + Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.

    + Experience with calipers, micrometers, and gages.

    + Strong communication skills for training others.

    + Basic math and geometry skills.

    + Basic materials knowledge.

    + Capability to create tooth/space alignment layouts.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Preferred knowledge of gears.

    + Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
