Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious technician to support waste handling for our salt bath nitriding and sandblasting department along with maintaining equipment and facilities. This multi-skilled role is essential to maintaining high-quality surface treatment processes and ensuring a clean, compliant, and efficient facility.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain blasting equipment for sandblasting and salt bath nitriding processes.
+ Collect, label, and store hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
+ Coordinate waste pickups with certified disposal vendors.
+ Maintain accurate logs and documentation for waste tracking and reporting.
+ Support spill response and containment procedures when necessary.
+ Perform routine maintenance on HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
+ Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment and infrastructure.
+ Assist with equipment installations and renovations.
+ Support safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and local codes.
+ Maintain clean and organized workspaces, including utility and mechanical areas.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate in industrial maintenance or related field preferred
+ 2+ years experience in manufacturing, heat treatment, blasting, or facilities maintenance preferred
+ Familiarity with hazardous waste handling, SDS, and OSHA requirements
+ Detail-oriented, reliable, safety-focused, able to work independently and in a team

Work Environment
Work involves maintaining equipment and facilities, handling waste in compliance with environmental regulations, and supporting safety inspections. The role requires working both independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kennebunk, Maine.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
