Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

As a General Production Worker, you will sort, lift, catch, and package tiles while ensuring quality control. The role involves stacking tiles from a pallet onto a conveyor, cleaning when the line isn't running, sweeping, and spraying the line down with a hose. Additionally, you will prepare and mix raw materials for ceramic tiles and glazes, operate production machinery, and perform basic assembly tasks.

Responsibilities

+ Sort, lift, and package tiles with attention to quality control.

+ Stack tiles from pallets onto conveyors.

+ Clean work areas by sweeping and spraying down lines with a hose.

+ Prepare and mix raw materials for tiles and glazes.

+ Operate production machinery and perform assembly tasks.

+ Inspect products for quality assurance.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in production, general labor, and manufacturing.

+ Familiarity with working in an industrial environment around large machines.

+ Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under general supervision.

+ Willingness to get dirty as part of the job.

+ Proven track record of exceptional attendance, reliability, and performance.

+ Ability to perform tasks such as assembly, packaging, and inspection.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Comfortable with repetitive counting tasks.

+ Ability to frequently twist, bend, kneel, and crouch.

+ Capability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

Work Environment

The work is conducted in a ceramic and glass tile manufacturing facility. The building, while old and industrial, houses large and dusty equipment. The environment is messy, with the likelihood of getting dirty and wet during cleaning processes. Due to silica dust, face masks are required in certain areas, and you will be fitted for a respirator. The proximity to kilns means it can get quite hot. Despite its challenges, the facility offers a unique work experience with safety measures in place.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
