    Job Title: Forklift Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled forklift operator and material handler to efficiently manage the movement of unpalletized finished products from machines to staging areas. You will collaborate within a team to ensure smooth operations and prevent any machine backups, guided by RF scanners.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate forklifts to handle unpalletized materials and finished products.

    + Collaborate with team members to determine product staging and call responses.

    + Utilize RF scanners to receive instructions on product movement.

    + Follow load plans to stage and load finished products into specific trucks.

    + Ensure a smooth workflow without specific quotas but preventing backups at machines.

    Essential Skills

    + Proven forklift experience, ideally with clamp or unpalletized materials.

    + Proficiency in using RF scanners or other computer picking devices.

    + Experience in an environment with KPIs and parts moving.

    + Strong safety awareness and understanding of OSHA regulations for forklifts.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Previous experience in corrugated packaging companies is beneficial.

    + Familiarity with unpalletized material handling.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based in a manufacturing facility, which may have dust due to paper cutting processes. The environment is non-climate controlled, and employees are required to wear steel-toed boots, eye protection, high-visibility vests, and ear protection. The standard shift is 8 hours, with openings available on the second shift.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Carlisle, Indiana.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.21 - $20.21/hr.
