Job Description

Join our team as a Clean Room Technician on the Day Shift, where you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of high-quality optical filters and coatings. These products are vital components in cutting-edge instruments used across various fields, including biotechnology, telecommunications, and robotics. This position offers a flexible start time between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

+ Work 50% of the time in a clean room environment, wearing a full bunny suit, and the remaining time outside the clean room.

+ Clean, rinse, and visually inspect wafers to ensure they meet high-quality standards before they are sent to the Coating department.

+ Use a cleaning line consisting of seven tubs filled with detergents, chemicals, and water to clean the wafers.

+ Handle and process 20-50 wafers per day, ensuring each is free from blemishes, scratches, and particles.

+ Participate in occasional assembly duties, such as painting parts and applying stickers.

+ Follow strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to prevent costly mistakes.

Essential Skills

+ Prior manufacturing experience.

+ Ability to work 4-6 hours per day in a full bunny suit.

+ Capability to stand for 6+ hours a day and lift up to 10 lbs. overhead.

+ Excellent attention to detail and strong eyesight.

+ Proficiency in English communication (speaking, reading, and writing).

+ Ability to follow instructions precisely.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Prior experience working in a bunny suit.

+ Experience in visual inspection or quality control/quality assurance work.

+ Experience in roles requiring strict adherence to instructions.

Work Environment

The work environment is a lab setting with a tented clean room, where you'll work independently on weekends and have co-workers nearby on weekdays. The role involves working with liquid solutions in a temperature-controlled environment, requiring full gowning, including face, head, and body coverage. While working, you can listen to headphones, with guidance on phone use provided by the supervisor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Rosa, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
