Hello! We are currently hiring for Skilled Laborer here in Phoenix, AZ!

Job Description

Join a dynamic construction team as a skilled laborer, assisting the lead carpenter with various tasks on-site. You will be responsible for cleanup, hanging safety railings, installing hole covers, and performing other labor work efficiently.

Responsibilities

+ Assist the lead carpenter with cleanup and site preparation.

+ Hang safety railings and install hole covers according to OSHA standards.

+ Perform rough carpentry work and general labor tasks as needed.

+ Operate a skill saw and other power tools efficiently.

+ Manage time effectively to complete tasks, typically within a day.

+ Lead and communicate with helpers to ensure task completion.

+ Build handrails and cover doorways with plywood.

+ Perform deck work and repair tasks such as fixing door frames and hinges.

+ Read and interpret tape measurements accurately.

+ Own and use hand tools; power tools will be provided.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in construction, general labor, and carpentry.

+ Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

+ Ability to read a tape measure.

+ Experience with safety railing installation and OSHA standards.

+ Knowledge of fall protection measures and certifications.

+ Ability to work without direct oversight and communicate task completion.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Sawzall, grinder, and hammer drill.

+ Certified in manlift operation is a plus.

+ Bilingual skills are a plus.

Work Environment

+ The position is based at a new construction site for a large data center, featuring a dynamic environment with many trades and moving parts.

+ Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors without A/C.

+ The team comprises 20 laborers and carpenters, working 1st shift Monday through Saturday, with Sunday being voluntary.

+ Expect to work 9-16 hour days, with a busy schedule for the remainder of the year.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goodyear, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
