Automation Technician
Job Description
Join our team as a 2nd Shift Automation Technician, working from 2:30 PM to 10:50 PM. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and programming ABB robots on our flagship production line, which serves major automotive brands such as Honda, Ford, GM, Acura, and Chrysler.
Responsibilities
+ Edit and program ABB robots using specialized software.
+ Collaborate with the main programmer and other Automation Technicians.
+ Perform preventative maintenance, including greasing bearings and ensuring cleanliness, on a weekly basis.
+ Work in the programming room equipped with one laptop and six ABB robots.
+ Attend ABB training and commit to a two-year agreement post-hiring.
Essential Skills
+ 5 years of experience editing existing programs on ABB Robots.
+ 5 years of experience with ABB software.
+ 3 years of experience following production scheduling.
+ Proficiency in robotics automation and paint robot programming.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with fanuc control and automation.
+ Skills in PLC troubleshooting and electrical systems.
+ ABB Training is a plus.
+ Ability to program ABB robots from scratch.

Work Environment
Work in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced robotic technology. The position is based in a programming room with a laptop and multiple ABB robots. The role operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 2:30 PM to 10:50 PM, providing a structured yet flexible work environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $70720.00/yr.
Full Company Benefits Effective Day 1 proceeding start Month. If employees start in January, eligible for benefits Feb 1.
