Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Controls Specialist in our Bowling Green, Kentucky stamping facility . The Controls Specialist is responsible for continuously improving automated systems to increase equipment efficiency in high-throughput operations. The ideal candidate will have prior controls experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

+ Support Maintenance Management by communicating effectively and providing guidance to both the Electrical and Automation Teams

+ Execute industrial mechanical knowledge of process automation, PLC programming, HMI improvements and robotic operations

+ Ensure functional design specifications are understood and successfully delivered on time and within budget

+ Involvement in new project engineering and controls programming

+ Utilize lean-manufacturing principles by improving process capability, reducing overall costs, and increasing capacity

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Post-secondary education in engineering, instrumentation, process control or electronics

+ 5 years of relevant experience related to industrial process automation

+ Ability to prepare technical documentation such as shop drawings, operating manuals, training manuals, equipment reports, and employee assessments

+ Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

+ Ability to lead and mentor Jr. associates; exercise a strong sense of teamwork

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 10 years of relevant experience related to industrial process automation
