    Overview

     

    Manages the company's strategic approach to travel, meetings and events, negotiations with T&E vendors, the day-to-day operation of the corporate travel program, in conjunction with the physical security team, travel data management, and traveler safety and security.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversees the Travel, Meeting & Event team to manage department processes and programs and ongoing development of departmental leaders.

    + Directs ongoing research and development of tools, including meeting apps, meeting technology platforms, and online booking tools to remain current with industry changes and improve processes and procedures. Reviews team’s research and recommendations, and makes decisions on technology investments.

    + Oversees all activities of the Travel Management Company (TMC) to ensure that initiatives are maintained and developed to reduce costs, with a focus on technology, while enhancing the traveler experience.

    + Provides strategic oversight to meetings and events, including management and development of key initiatives, to align with changing business needs.

    + Negotiates with travel and meeting suppliers to secure current and future discounts. Conducts ongoing analysis of suppliers, in partnership with team, to drive negotiations and contract management.

    + Builds strong partnerships with interfacing departmental managers, including Training, Finance, and Marketing, to ensure strategic program alignment.

    + Manages ongoing development of reporting to senior management team on policy compliance and to business units to assist in proactively evaluating budgetary decisions.

    + Collaborates with Officers to determine travel and meeting objectives and alignment with budgetary decisions.

    + Liaises with CEO and CFO on new and ongoing meetings, acquisitions, global expansion, and fundraising opportunities to support executive initiatives.

    + Recruits, selects, hires, and evaluates performance of personnel to ensure all department needs are handled appropriately. Counsels and develops staff for personal and corporate advancement through career development, training programs and other resources as required for professional advancement.

    Qualifications

    + Associate's Degree in

    + Experience with TMC implementations – (global a plus).

    + 10+ years of experience in Travel management experience. Corporate travel management experience a must. Prior supervisory experience. Experience with travel technologies.

     

    Compensation

     

    In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $86,000 to $135,000 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the Talent Acquisition & Onboarding position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
