Responsibilities

**Job Summary:** The Process Lead – Level 5 plays a key role in supporting production leadership across assembly, machinery, processing, and/or packaging operations. This role leads by example, providing day-to-day direction, motivation, and mentorship to Skilled Machine Technicians (SMTs) while working under the guidance of a supervisor. The Process Lead helps drive operational efficiency by facilitating hands-on training, promoting team engagement, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, this role is responsible for coordinating production schedules based on material availability, staffing levels, and output targets to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, on-time production.
Essential Duties:
Team Coordination & Leadership
+ Coordinate an assigned team with professionalism, integrity, mindfulness, and composure.
+ Lead by example and adhere to all company rules, QuickTake Policies, and Critical Safety Rules.
+ Encourage behaviors that embody the traits of a High-Performance Culture (HPC) and motivate team members to excel.
+ Flexibility with work shifts and willingness to cross-train across processes within the assigned department.
+ No authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, reward, or discipline other employees.
Communication & Collaboration
+ Interact daily with team members to provide process-driven guidance, make decisions, and escalate conflicts as necessary.
+ Communicate product/project status consistently with co-workers using verbal communication or two-way radio transmission.
+ Effectively communicate and collaborate with different departments, shifts, and leadership levels as needed.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including production, engineering, and maintenance—to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
Reporting & Data Analysis
+ Generate and deliver comprehensive daily end-of-shift reports, operational feedback, and data to SMT team supervisors.
+ Provide operational feedback and recommend improvement actions to supervisors to minimize deficiencies.
+ Maintain detailed inspection, quality issue, and deviation records as required.
+ Report quality issues, concerns, or deviations from standards to Supervisors and Engineers in a timely manner.
Training & SOP Compliance
+ Understand, interpret, uphold, and teach Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Work Instructions (SWIs).
+ Efficiently train SMTs at all levels in role duties, SOPs, processes, and other required material.
+ Ability to train others at the same or lower level within the functional area.
Operations & Maintenance Support
+ Perform duties of all SMT levels, including operating machinery to meet production schedules and departmental requirements.
+ Support SMTs with equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment as needed.
+ Perform advanced preventive and reactive maintenance as necessary.
+ Manage and coordinate raw materials for use in production.
+ Ensure adherence to quality standards, general plant policies, and PECNA procedures.
+ Ensure area cleanliness and compliance with 6S standards.
General Role Requirements
+ Ability to work all scheduled shifts.
+ Ability to meet the physical demands and PPE requirements of the role.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
+ To ensure health and safety in the workplace and for employee protection, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. A respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

Qualifications: Required and/or Preferred
Education:
+ **Required:** High school diploma, GED, or 2 years of prior experience in functional area
+ **Preferred:** Associate or Bachelor’s degree
Essential Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of progressive prior experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
+ Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and experienced in computer operations, with knowledge of navigating department-specific system programs
+ Comprehensive understanding of the principles and methodologies associated with the 6S and Lean processes
+ Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
+ Alignment to Panasonic’s seven (7) core principles (contribution to society, fairness and honesty, cooperation and team spirit, untiring effort for improvement, courtesy and humility, adaptability, gratitude)
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 8 + years of previous experience in roles such as Shift Lead, Team Lead, or a related position
+ Possess or ability to learn the necessary skills to effectively use high-quality equipment relevant to the designated area of work
+ Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES), SCADA, SAP, and data visualization tools
**Preferred License(s):** None
Preferred Certification(s):
+ Ability to obtain a certification for operating a forklift, electric pallet jack, and manual pallet jack
+ Lead Six Sigma Green Belt
