Primary Responsibilities:
+ Employee Relations and Morale: This position will develop and implement morale-boosting programs; provide resources for stress management, work-life balance, and team building.
+ Health and Wellness: This position will work collaboratively with program staff to identify and implement activities and resources that support the overall well-being of employees.
+ Community Outreach: This position will identify, establish, and maintain ongoing relationships with external resources and community partners; serving as a liaison between SMOC and identified community resources.
+ Accessibility: This position will work collaboratively with program staff to advance accessibility of services to clients to ensure that they are accessible to those who need them.
+ Assist with an annual staff survey to help gauge employee satisfaction and areas where additional support is needed.
+ Create an inclusive wellness approach that strives to address the diverse needs of our employees, including different work schedules, abilities, and interests.
+ Develop wellness challenges to engage employees and encourage healthy behaviors.
+ Identify low-cost incentive ideas to help encourage participation in activities, and resources for stress management and preventive care.
+ Attend and participate in various staff meetings as requested to elicit employee feedback.
+ Communicate effectively with clients and staff.
+ Identify ways to integrate wellness activities and encouragement into the workday at our various programs and sites.
+ Assist with client focus groups to gather feedback on services and program environments. Help identify areas for improvement.
+ Maintain confidentiality of client, employee, and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
+ 2 years of relevant experience, BA required
+ Experience working in social service environment
+ Project Experience; Self-driven; Can work independently
+ Comfortable with data collection
+ People and Team skills; ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and collaborate
+ Solid written and verbal communication skills
+ Reporting experience
Organizational Relationship: Directly reports to Sr. Director Human Resources.
Physical Requirement: Travel to various sites is required. Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions: As part of the responsibilities of this position, the Employee Wellness Specialist will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by SMOC in various programs funded or administered through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. A successful background check is required.
Remote Work Option: Remote work is permissible in some positions at SMOC depending on the key functions and responsibilities. The Employee Wellness Specialist position is eligible to work from home 0-20% of the week in scheduling coordination with the department manager.
Monday-Friday; 9am-5pm
