Patient Access Registration Supervisor Position Summary:
Responsible for coordinating management activities relating to onsite patient access functions, including: oversee infusion booking which includes scheduling and registering infusion treatments, oversee the PST registration team as well as support the laboratory team. Coordinates pre-registration and work closely with FCC in clearing accounts in advance to the services, as well as develop and maintain relationship with providers and office. The Patient Access Supervisor will ensure overall quality and performance metrics, and enforce organization-wide policy and procedures.
Patient Access Registration Supervisor Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for all administrative functions that contribute to the management of 2200 Patient Access team and execution of all onsite patient access activities.
+ Manage the onsite patient access staff’s ability to arrive patients in a customer friendly and timely manner, ensuring integrity of information used to Schedule and Pre-register each and every patient.
+ Utilize analytical, problem solving skills to determine the best course of action to resolve problems and be proactive with process improvements.
+ Foresee and mitigate any significant issues/risks.
+ Coordinate the integration activities, including patient movement, between provider office, Infusion and PST clinical leadership, Financial Clearance Dept. and the respective departments to ensure high quality standards and a consistent patient experience.
+ Create a work environment for employees through team building, coaching, constructive feedback, work delegation, personal example and goal setting that encourages creativity, open dialogue on work issues, professional growth, and a consistent, high level of performance.
+ Promote a culture of information sharing, collaboration and teamwork across Departmental lines, to identify areas of improved efficiency for the Health System.
+ Ensure all Patient Access policies and procedures remain current and relevant to the functions of Revenue Cycle.
+ Ensure appropriate operational controls are in place to support the enhancements and are being adhered too.
+ Assume additional responsibilities in the absence of Director.
+ Maintain/Monitor out of Block Request for maximum efficiency and productivity.
+ Promote patient safety in booking infusion treatments and scheduling appointment to ensure accuracy in the process of Patient Movement.
+ Attend assigned committee meeting to ensure and strengthen workflow.
+ Reconcile and approve timecard biweekly.
+ Complete Staff Performance Evaluation yearly.
+ Open and accepting to new initiative and projects as required.
Patient Access Registration Supervisor Education and Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare, or a related field required.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in Patient Access Services, with at least 1 year of team lead experience required.
+ Experience in Cadence Scheduling and OR Booking required.
+ Experience in EPIC Registration required.
+ Experience in ICD 10 and CPT codes preferred.
Salary Range
USD $62,300.00 - USD $76,000.00 /Yr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
