• Plant Manager

    SFS Group USA, Inc (Reading, PA)


    SFS Group USA Inc is looking for a Plant Manager to join our team in Exeter Township, Reading PA. This individual will lead assigned departments and plant operations in alignment with the principles of the SFS Corporate Model and core company values. The position is responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring all activities support the strategic direction of the organization. The successful candidate will actively support and represent the SFS brand, demonstrating strong leadership, accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement.

    Principal duties

    + Builds, monitors, and enhances teamwork among direct and indirect reports.

    + Fosters company-wide working relationships and cross-functional cooperation.

    + Mentors high-potential employees, preparing them for future leadership roles.

    + Defines and implements manufacturing goals and the MTP (Mid-Term Planning) strategy.

    + Ensures a clear and effective meeting structure to regularly communicate goals, performance, and updates to team members.

    + Plans and monitors employee training programs to enhance workforce capability and performance.

    + Plans and controls production in collaboration with planning teams to meet throughput and delivery targets.

    + Drives improvements in labor utilization, efficiency, and reduction of site WIP (Work in Progress).

    + Effectively allocates resources to meet or exceed budgetary and performance goals.

    + Collaborates with management to research, acquire, and implement new equipment and processes for productivity improvement.

    + Works with contractors and cross-functional teams on capital infrastructure projects to sustain and improve the facility.

    + Promotes and implements Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) and Kaizen tools to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.

    + Proactively analyzes SAP data to identify trends

    + Ensures immediate and proper response to customer complaints using quality tools such as the 8D process.

    + Enforces and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.

    + Enforces environmental reporting procedures and ensures proper handling and removal of hazardous waste.

    + Monitors and enforces proper cleaning and maintenance standards for all buildings and equipment.

    + Performs other duties as assigned by management.
