    Job Summary:

    Develop and implement marketing plans and strategies to achieve the overall business objectives of the organization. Identify and develop effective and productive marketing strategies for specific segments. Develop direct marketing plans and tactics across standard direct marketing channels (email, direct mail, MMS/SMS, app push, Telerecruitment). This includes developing copy and providing design direction, stewarding tactics through to Operations handoff. Lead special process and operational initiatives. Provide support, development, and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Design, develop, and implement direct marketing plans and strategies to engage active platelet donors to support the development and improvement of the organization's marketing objectives.

    + Maintain a daily understanding of production, assigned KPIs, and donor response rates, to understand when to pivot strategies and messaging to continue to meet needs.

    + Research, identify, and select the best direct marketing channels, messaging, and creative to improve the effectiveness of coverage in the marketplace and meet the unique needs of active platelet donors and platelet collections.

    + Particular focus on B2C direct marketing (especially email and direct mail marketing).

    + Analyze tactical and programmatic performance to optimize content, offers, and tactics to meet desired platelet donor engagement and ROI.

    + Will pivot quickly as necessary to ensure optimal performance.

    + Identify and implement effective and productive marketing strategies based on solid data analysis.

    + Lead the infrastructure, technical capabilities, and continuous improvement activities to achieve marketing goals.

    + Use best practices and knowledge of internal and external business issues to solve complex problems.

    + Manage timelines and budgets, ensuring high-quality production of marketing resources.

    + Serve as a subject matter expert for the active platelet audience.

    + Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, adeptly and confidently lead meetings, provide report-outs, and ensure consistent coordination with all relevant parties.

     

    _Pay Information:_

     

    _The salary range for this position is:_** **$95,000 - $110,000

     

    _Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned with the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have, and a comparison to other employees already in this role._

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communication, Advertising, Business, or equivalent field required.

    + Minimum 7 years of experience in B2C marketing and/or Red Cross field marketing or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

    + Demonstrated track record of developing and maintaining operational and process initiatives in support of marketing activities is required.

    + Highly developed leadership, oral, and written communication skills required.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    + Ability to assimilate information quickly, analyze problems, implement solutions, and present findings is required.

    + Excellent creative, strategic, and data-based thinker.

    + Ability to balance both copywriting and creative direction with audience segmentation strategy, and direct marketing data analysis.

    + Able to manage a budget.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. Proven success in working in cross-functional teams.

    + Ability to work on a team.

    + May travel and participate in meetings throughout the Red Cross system.

    Physical Requirements

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
