Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay Dale Electronics – East Windsor, CT is currently seeking applicants for a Production Supervisor.
R esponsible for producing Vishay products that meet and exceed quality and customer expectations.
Job Summary:
Directs and oversees welding and stamping operations at the Vishay Dale – East Windsor location. Responsible for the orientation, training, professional development, and work performance of personnel for the production line in a highly technical manufacturing operation.
Job Location:
Vishay Dale Electronics, East Windsor, CT is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology. There are around 25 employees currently working in East Windsor.
What you will be doing:
+ Oversee daily operations of the Welding and Stamping Departments, ensuring that production goals are met for quantity, quality and delivery. Directly and indirectly supervise all activities of weld operators, stamping operators and support staff.
+ Create and monitor production and work schedules to ensure jobs are completed on time and within quality expectations.
+ Plan workload and material availability to ensure smooth operations and the production or orders to meet delivery requirements of the Purchasing Department. Expedite orders as required to meet production schedules.
+ Enforce all safety and environmental policies, assuring a clean and hazard-free working environment in compliance with organizational and ISO 14001/45001 requirements.
+ Enforce all quality policies and procedures related to ISO9001.
+ Coordinate with the Quality, Maintenance, Material Handling and Shipping/Receiving Departments to ensure smooth operations and on time shipping of product.
+ Track and report all assigned production metrics and KPIs (scrap, downtime, productivity, on time delivery, etc)
+ Conduct performance reviews, create employee development plans and assist with hiring and corrective counseling discussions.
+ Prepare monthly shipment, efficiency, and scrap reports for assigned areas using location specific methods where company software is not made available.
What you will bring along:
+ 5 years experience in manufacturing environment
+ 2 years experience in supervisory role
+ Bachelor Degree in business related field preferred
+ Able to build rapport with support departments (e.g., maintenance, quality, HR) to ensure smooth operations and shared goals.
+ Able to deliver instructions, updates, and expectations in a way that’s easily understood across all levels of the organization.
