About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Control Management Officer to support the Portfolio Strategy & Analytics (PSA) group within the Investment Portfolio. The Portfolio Strategy & Analytics (PSA is responsible for forecasting analytics and reporting for the Investment Portfolio. In this role the Senior Lead will support the business, drive risk mitigation and optimize processes and controls.
In this role, you will:
+ Act as an advisor to more experienced leaders in developing risk mitigation strategies for complex and highly integrated business specific risk across different business lines
+ Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report impact of decisions and business controls to the relevant business group and enterprise function
+ Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex current and emerging risks requiring in depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, as well as good understanding of financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, and business process management
+ Provide vision, direction, and expertise to more experienced leaders on implementing innovative and significant business solutions for highly complex risks associated with business operations
+ Lead and mentor Control Management project or virtual teams
+ Engage with all levels of roles across the business group, and serve as an experienced advisor in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and controls that mitigate risks and address regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
+ 7+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services Industry experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
+ Strong knowledge of internal controls and related policies, including Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
+ Direct experience with execution of RCSA activities (e.g., risk identification, risk assessment, control design, etc.)
+ Strong knowledge of issue management life cycle and policy requirements and experience managing all phases including issue identification, root cause analysis, corrective action planning and remediation
+ Experience designing and evaluating effective controls, including optimization of processes and aligned controls
+ Demonstrated accountability and initiative – Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability.
+ Effective workload management – Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
+ Strong collaboration skills – Proven ability to work effectively with others and build strong partnerships.
+ Cross-functional partnership development – Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas.
+ Analytical precision – Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Exceptional Executive-level communication – Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders.
+ Credibility and relationship building – Ability to quickly establish credibility to build and maintain effective working relationships.
+ Matrix leadership experience – Ability to provide leadership within a matrixed organizational environment.
+ Adaptability and flexibility – Ability to adapt and be flexible in a working environment.
Job Expectations:
+ Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
+ Hybrid work schedule. Must be able to work from one of the approved job posting locations three (3) days in office & two (2) day remote.
