    The University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Nursing is seeking a*Part-Time Clinical Research Assistant (Contractual)*. Reporting to the Personal Investigator of the study, the Clinical Research Assistant will support data collection, management, and monitoring for the study. The RA will recruit and communicate with participants, administer demographic surveys, track weekly assessments, and coordinate the collection of standardized measures such as the Lasater Clinical Judgement Rubric via GoReact technology. This position ensures accurate and timely handling of sensitive participant data while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with IRB requirements. The study will evaluate the impact of nurse educators' questioning techniques on prelicensure nursing students' clinical judgement. It is a comparative study of DEU and traditional clinical placement models. *_Essential Functions:_* * Assists in enrolling participants for clinical study, explaining objectives, obtaining consent, and recruiting. * Performs data collection and entry and tracks consent forms or other related materials. * Prepares study materials and assists in developing databases and pretesting data collection input instruments. Generates basic recurring materials/reports. * Assists with developing and recommending study procedures. * Assists with IRB submissions and supporting documentation. * Assists in conducting literature reviews by searching library or online services as directed. *_Required Education and Experience:_* * Associates degree in related field. *_Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:_* * General knowledge of the principles and practices of allied health sciences and patient protocols. * Ability to perform data collection processes; to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; to use computers and related software applications. *_Preferred Qualifications:_* * Current enrollment or completion of a graduate degree program. Bachelor’s-level students may be considered contingent upon relevant research experience * Experience with RedCap or Qualtrics. Competency in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other similar technologies. CITI and HIPAA Training (or willing to complete). Basic understanding of research methods. * Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively with students, faculty, and clinical staff. *_Other:_* Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience. *Rate of Pay:*$25.00/hour *_Conditions of Employment:_* Employees in this job class may be required to work with biohazardous or radio-labeled materials and may be required to successfully complete applicable safety training. /UMB is committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive workforce and is proud to be an equal employment opportunity employer.
