    Position Overview

    BGB is seeking an experienced Freelance VP, Resource Management to provide strategic oversight of agency-wide resourcing. This freelance engagement will focus on optimizing utilization across multiple departments and disciplines, driving efficiency, and ensuring the right talent is deployed to the right projects at the right time.

     

    The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in creative operations and resource management within an agency environment, with a strong understanding of cross-functional workflows spanning Creative, Project Management, Strategy, and Medical/Scientific teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Partner with leadership and department heads to assess capacity, forecast needs, and align staffing against agency priorities and revenue targets.

    + Provide strategic oversight and hands-on management of resource allocations across accounts, ensuring balanced workloads and optimal utilization across teams.

    + Collaborate with Finance and Operations to track and analyze utilization data, generate insights, and drive informed decision-making.

    + Support ongoing optimization of resourcing tools, systems, and processes to streamline operations and improve visibility.

    + Act as a trusted advisor to functional leaders, anticipating talent needs tied to new business, organic growth, and evolving client demands.

    + Oversee a small team of resource managers, ensuring excellence in execution, communication, and partnership with project leads.

    + Serve as a senior point of escalation for conflict resolution, prioritization, and staffing challenges.

    Qualifications

    + 10+ years of experience in resource management, creative operations, or project operations within an agency setting (healthcare advertising experience strongly preferred).

    + Proven ability to manage resourcing across large, multi-disciplinary teams and complex portfolios.

    + Deep understanding of creative, digital, and medical/scientific workflows.

    + Exceptional analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel and/or resource management tools

    + Strong business acumen with the ability to partner closely with Finance on forecasting and utilization modeling.

    + Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and balancing strategic thinking with tactical execution.

    + Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills.

     

    $90 - $110/hr
