    Our work depends on a Python Data Analyst joining our team to remotely support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) activities for the Federal Services System Support and Oversight (FSSSO) program. Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

     

    At GDIT, our people are at the center of everything we do. As a Python Data Analyst supporting CMS, a typical day will include:

     

    + Conducting analysis of data related to the Independant Disuptes and Resolution (IDR) program,

    + Documenting and communicating reporting requirements, rules and methodologies for data collection and analysis,

    + Reviewing and analyzing collected data to determine the performance and health of a system or network,

    + Writing Python code to perform in-depth data analysis,

    + Recommending changes to the overall system or network to ensure service to the customer,

    + Assembling, preparing, and analyzing data for system requirements and other needs,

    + Presenting data in briefing and other formats to internal teams and CMS,

    + Providing input or preparing technical reports/briefings based on the expert interpretation of analyzed data,

    + Participating in meetings to provide assistance with technical inquiries related to system implementations, as needed.

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

    + Bachelor’s degree or higher and at least 5 years of related experience.

    + 7+ years of experience working with data and completing data analysis activities, including designing and building reports.

    + Expert-level hands-on experience with **object-oriented programming** languages, including **Python** and **Pandas.**

    + Expert SQL skills, including experince extracting SQL data and ETL pipelines.

    + Experience building and redesigning interactive **Tableau** dashboards.

    + Proficient using MS Excel and Access.

    + Competent using MS Word and PowerPoint.

    + Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    + Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.

    + Candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Salesforce and Salesforce Visual Force experience

    + Healthcare Service Industry or Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) experience

    + Ability to handle Salesforce data migrations

    + Experience with preparing data files using Excel to load with Apex Data Loader

    + Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.

    + Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.

    + High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large scale databases.

    + Experience working in an Agile environment

    + Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint

    + Ability to manage time effectively, to work under time pressure, to meet schedules and deadlines, to multi-task, to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments and pay close attention to detail

    The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

GDIT typically provides new employees with 15 days of paid leave per calendar year to be used for vacations, personal business, and illness and an additional 10 paid holidays per year. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
