    SYSTEMS ARCHITECT SR PRINCIPAL

    As a **Software Architect** , you will be responsible for designing and evolving the core systems that enable efficient, reliable, and secure software delivery across our portfolio of products. You will help define the architecture for internal build systems and delivery pipelines, ensuring that development teams have the tools and infrastructure needed to deliver high-quality software at scale. Your work will focus on optimizing performance, accelerating delivery cycles, and enabling seamless collaboration across teams.

     

    The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in resilient software architectures, CI/CD practices, and cloud infrastructure, paired with strong communication skills to influence and align teams. You will act as a thought leader, guiding technical decisions, setting standards, and mentoring engineers to ensure consistent, sustainable delivery. Ultimately, your impact will be measured by the organization’s ability to deliver products faster, more reliably, and more efficiently, driving both satisfaction and business growth

    HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

    + You will design resilient and cost-effective systems that balance innovation with operational excellence.

    + You will collaborate with functional teams and stakeholders to create architectures that reduce complexity, minimize downtime, and improve scalability. A strong focus on automation, observability, and best practices will be critical to ensure our systems remain robust and efficient while adapting to evolving business needs.

    + You will architect and lead the evolution of our delivery, with an emphasis on scalability, high availability, and developer productivity. You will provide technical leadership across the org on best practices in efficient, effective and reliable delivery workflows, source control strategy, repository management and release automation

    + You will drive the adoption and integration of Source Code Management systems, Artifact Repositories, Build Systems and Delivery Pipelines (CI/CD)

    + You will champion observability and monitoring practices that enable proactive detection, rapid response, and continuous improvement

    + You will design and implement fault-tolerant systems that minimize operational overhead and support rapid recovery from failures

    + You will collaborate with security and compliance teams to embed DevSecOps principles into the entire software lifecycle

    + You will Influence platform and tooling decisions focusing on reducing toil and delivery efficiency

    + You will mentor across teams, providing thought leadership in automation and platform reliability

    + You will demonstrate flexibility in mindset to navigate and resolve points of intersection with other system components. Adaptability is key to finding mutually beneficial solutions.

    + You will utilize strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts, fostering collaboration and understanding across interdisciplinary teams

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

    • **Education:**

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related technical field, **OR** equivalent combination of education and experience

    Experience:

    + 12+ years of experience in related technologies

    + Proven experience in building and managing highly available, fault-tolerant systems at scale

    + Expert hands-on expertise in:

    + Source Code Management systems:

    + Artifact Repositories:

    + Messaging systems:

    + Observability systems:

    + Container Platforms

    + Virtual Machines

    + Infrastructure as Code:

    + Demonstrated communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

    + Ability to operate at both a strategic and tactical level, influencing architectural direction and rolling up sleeves when needed

    + Preferred technical and professional experience

    + Proficiency in Modern Programming Languages possessing a solid understanding of programming languages, with a specific emphasis on proficiency in languages such as Java and Python.

    + Containerization and Orchestration Mastery proficiency in containerization and orchestration using Openshift or Kubernetes, highlighting the ability to design and manage scalable and efficient application deployments.

    + Leadership in cross-team initiatives, open-source projects, or internal platform transformations

    The likely salary range for this position is $145,350 - $196,650. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
