We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Technician to join our finance team with a primary focus on bi-monthly payroll processing for approximately 324 employees. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution, compliance with applicable regulations, and effective use of our ERP system, Paylocity. Candidates with experience in ADP, Paycom, or Paychex are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
+ Process payroll on a bi-monthly basis (26 pay periods/year) for 324 personnel using Paylocity.
+ Administer 12 annual stipend payouts in coordination with HR and Finance.
+ Review and validate employee timecards, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
+ Manage garnishments, 401(k) contributions, and rate adjustments.
+ Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
+ Generate and analyze payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders.
+ Assist with AI chat support within the payroll system to resolve employee inquiries.
+ Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
+ Support audits and reporting requirements related to payroll.
+ Provide backup support for other payroll functions as needed.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a mid-to-large organization.
+ Proficiency in Paylocity or similar ERP systems (ADP, Paycom, Paychex).
+ Strong understanding of payroll regulations, deductions, and benefits administration.
+ Experience with payroll reporting and data analysis.
+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
+ Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
+ Payroll certification (e.g., FPC or CPP) is a plus.
Work Environment
The position is on site with work hours from 8 am to 5 pm, with some flexibility in start and end times. The work environment is supportive, with a strong emphasis on learning and training. Employees have the option to choose from up to 40 medical plans, with 75% of the benchmark plan cost covered. There is a 401k match up to 4%, PTO for nonexempt employees accruing at 4 hours per pay period, and 26 days/year for exempt employees. All federal holidays are paid, with an additional floater holiday available.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gardnerville, Nevada.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.29 - $26.75/hr.
