    *This is a benefited, full time position working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Located at Scripps Clinic Hillcrest. May be required to float to other sites to help with coverage as needed. *

    *Your job duties:*

    * Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures & telehealth rooming/prep

    * Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols

    * Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment

    * Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice

    * Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person

    * Collecting patient data in person and by phone

    * Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review

    * Administering medications specifically directed by the physician

    * Scheduling of appointments and procedures

    * Complete and accurate message taking

    * Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction

    * Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications

    *Required Qualifications:*

    * Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman

    * BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)

    * Strong written and verbal communication skills

    *Preferred Qualifications:*

    * 1 year of experience working as Medical Assistant

    * Insurance authorization with prior authorization experience
