    About the Role

    As a Patient Access Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, playing a vital role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. You’ll handle registration, admissions, insurance verification, scheduling, and administrative support, all while delivering exceptional customer service.

     

    + Register patients and manage all related documentation, consents, and authorizations.

    + Verify insurance, collect co-payments, and ensure accurate financial paperwork.

    + Answer phones and respond to inquiries with professionalism and empathy.

    + Schedule appointments and educate patients on pre- and post-exam requirements.

    + Maintain organized medical records and scan documents into the EMR.

    + Monitor and manage front desk supply inventory.

    + Ensure compliance with HIPAA, EMTALA, CMS, and Joint Commission standards.

    + Attend staff meetings and contribute to team success.

    Required Skills

    + Strong administrative and clerical abilities

    + Excellent customer service and communication skills

    + Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

    + Basic computer proficiency (training provided within 90 days)

    + Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)

    Preferred Skills

    + Experience in healthcare or patient-facing roles

    + Familiarity with Medicare processes and documentation

    + Knowledge of medical necessity audits and payer requirements

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.64 - $24.25/hr.
