    The Position & Opportunity

     

    Southern Outdoor Restoration, a well-established and fast-growing services company, is seeking a results-driven Production Manager to provide leadership and oversight of all aspects of its Raleigh market operations. This role is responsible for fulfillment, quality of work, and the efficient performance of the operations team. As a key leader, the Production Manager will mentor, train, and evaluate staff, ensure consistent adherence to operational protocols, and collaborate on recruiting, hiring, and technician development. They will also lead critical team touchpoints, including weekly technician meetings, safety huddles, and operations management sessions, fostering a culture of pride, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

     

    Beyond daily oversight, the Production Manager will manage subcontractor relationships, oversee incident reporting, and drive key performance metrics to ensure operational excellence. They will also take ownership of projects that strengthen the customer experience and improve transparency — from innovating job documentation processes to implementing reporting systems and managing on-call rotations. This is a high-impact opportunity for a motivated leader to shape the future growth of SOR’s Raleigh market while ensuring superior service, operational efficiency, and team success.

     

    As of today, Southern Outdoor Restoration is successful and growing, operating out of two locations in Raleigh, NC as well as a separate division operating in Charlotte NC. This Raleigh Production Manager position is a critical, “tip of the spear” position, for the company. A successful candidate will have extensive prior experience within the home/property services vertical, or a closely adjacent industry. Above all else, a successful candidate will embrace the core values, mission, and vision of the company that have put SOR on its current successful trajectory.

     

    Key Position Responsibilities

    People:

    + Hire, train, onboard, mentor, evaluate, and offboard (as needed) all direct reports

    + Ensure consistent adherence to protocols across Operations Team

    + Collaborate with HR Team for areas such as recruiting, risk management, performance tracking etc.

    + Leadership and ownership of meetings that would include:

    + Weekly technician meetings

    + Operations Management meetings

    + Morning huddles/ Toolbox Safety meetings

    + Reporting and KPIs for the team and individuals

    + Monthly Technician Scorecards

    + Stewardship of equipment

    + Gross Margin delivery on projects

    + Subcontractor management

    Projects:

    + Proactively review upcoming projects with Operations Managers to ensure they are all properly resourced

    + Appropriate technician skill level, equipment, chemicals, time, scope detail, and special considerations

    + Deliver high quality results on all projects through planning, oversight, and consistent adherence to SOPs

    + Maintain continuous improvement practices and ensure current SOPs are adhered to daily

    + Cross-functional communication regarding schedule and delays (weather, etc.)

    + Efficiently use and control resources to optimize margin delivery

    + Proactively and promptly resolve issues to ensure excellent experiences for customers and Sales Team colleagues

    Preferred Skills/Abilities:

    + Experience and knowledge of self-performing property service companies

    + Experience in interviewing, hiring, and integrating new team members into the company culture, aligned with its core values

    Physical Requirements:

    + Must be able to read, understand, and follow English language safety instructions and training, including OSHA and chemical SDS information

    + Must be able to walk, stand, squat, climb, and execute safety protocols

    + Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer

    + Must be able to access and navigate company warehouses and job sites

    + Requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards

    + Must have the ability to lift and carry parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials.

    Schedule Requirements/ Attendance and punctuality specifications:

    + Most work will align with day shift (Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4 PM)

    + After hours work required at times for engagement and management of night shift Operations Manager

    + After hours or weekend work required at times due to urgency of business needs

    Education & Experience:

    + Significant leadership experience

    + Education or experience sufficient to achieve all job requirements

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business administration plus 5 years’ experience or

    + High School Diploma plus 10 years’ experience
