Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
+ 5 years of experience in program or project management.
+ 5 years of experience in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
+ Experience working in the news industry or on other news/media products.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Knowledge of budgeting, dashboards and reporting tools.
+ Ability to develop and manage relationships at all levels, including executive leaders internally and externally, without direct authority.
+ Ability to clarify and communicate complex issues for an executive audience internally and externally with excellent communication and presentation skills.
+ Excellent in project management, problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with good business acumen.

The North America News Partnerships team works to transform Google’s relationships with the news industry. Our team provides meaningful solutions from helping news organizations grow and transform their business and find new audiences to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners to grow our business and theirs, build trust, and deepen relationships. Our team collaborates closely with other partnerships teams, Marketing and Communications to highlight our work to tell great stories about our engagement with the news industry and influence key opinion formers.
As a News Program Manager, you will apply program management, time management, organizational and communication skills as you engage key stakeholders across the News Partnerships organization to prioritize and work with global program and product teams to enable launches and landings of news products, programs, and events.
In this role, you should have a bias for execution and creativity to constantly assess and improve your areas of responsibility. Your ability to manage through complex problems and drive end to end projects, will be valuable assets as you engage with cross-functional stakeholders. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and be able to remain flexible in a constantly changing environment with your collaborative style effectively bringing multiple parties on board.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
+ Own the design, launch, execution and support of regional programs and products for News Partnerships, including conceptualizing, gathering resources, aligning stakeholders and communicating our approach to internal and external audiences.
+ Drive program strategy, identifying goals and objectives and ensuring plans are aligned, measured, and iterated based on feedback and learnings.
+ Prioritize budgets, programs and workstreams based on changes to strategy and evolving market needs.
+ Work and influence regional and central programming teams to align on and regularly review our programming, training and events strategy.
+ Prepare presentations and clearly communicate findings from initiatives to executive management on key trends, issues, market insights, and competitive platform intelligence.
