Position Summary
The Director, Account Lead serves as the strategic business driver across key retail accounts, responsible for delivering sales growth, optimizing retail execution, and advancing brand presence in a competitive luxury landscape. Acting as the primary liaison between the brand and retail partners, this role defines and executes account strategies that align to both brand objectives and retailer priorities. The Director will lead cross-functional collaboration to achieve net and retail sales goals while identifying and activating white space opportunities to fuel sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
+ Lead and execute account strategies to increase market share and elevate brand positioning.
+ Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Education, Creative, Finance, and Sales Operations to align on omnichannel initiatives.
+ Translate global brand strategies into locally relevant retail plans by channel and partner.
+ Identify white space opportunities through competitive, consumer, and retailer insights.
+ Drive a seamless omnichannel experience across in-store and online touchpoints.
Account Management & Retail Planning
+ Develop and manage annual retail and e-commerce calendars, including launches, events, sets, and promotional programs.
+ Lead end-to-end retail execution to ensure excellence across all touchpoints.
+ Partner with retailers to strengthen relationships, increase visibility, and drive collaboration.
+ Provide regular performance analyses, sales commentary, and business updates to leadership.
Financial Accountability
+ Own retail and net sales targets, managing key P&L components to ensure profitable growth.
+ Partner with Planning on stock and sales forecasts and manage inputs for retail and net sales LE.
+ Evaluate business trends and ROI on key investments, including demo and freelance budgets.
Leadership & Communication
+ Cascade business priorities and retail strategies to Field and Education teams.
+ Inspire collaboration across internal and external partners around account goals.
+ Communicate performance results, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
+ 10+ years of experience in prestige beauty, fragrance, or retail business development.
+ Proven success driving sales, managing retail partnerships, and leading omnichannel strategy.
+ Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities, including P&L management.
+ Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
+ Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Ability to travel up to 30% domestically.
