In this role you'll provide vital support to the County and Department of Health to advance strategic initiatives and drive positive change. In this role, you will...
+ Conduct analysis to identify deficiencies in the human services system relating to homelessness and poverty in Sarasota County.
+ Assist with developing and implementing recommendations for improvement, including prevention and diversion programs for homeless individuals from other costly systems (i.e., criminal justice, behavioral health, and emergency medical services).
+ Provide technical assistance in the area of homeless and poverty prevention programs.
+ Create networks and coalitions to promote community collaboration, obtain public input, and enhance partnerships in the human services system, specifically in the area of homeless and poverty prevention.
+ Provide technical expertise to County Administration and act as a liaison with community leaders, funders, other government agencies, and provider agencies on homeless and poverty issues.
+ Participate in and assist the Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness (SPEH), SPEH’s Continuum of Care Work Group, and Office of Housing and Community Development.
+ Author and manage homeless and poverty prevention grants, including but not limited to the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG).
About the Schedule
+ Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
+ As a reminder, all county employees are considered essential and must be prepared to protect and support the community and its citizens. Each employee, without exception, will have a duty assignment and be required to work during a disaster or declared emergency.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Planning, Industrial/Engineering Technology, or a job-related field AND Three (3) years of professional job-related experience.
+ -OR- 7 years of professional job-related experience in the management of technical projects/programs and strategic planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master's Degree in a job-related field.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay: $ 61,734.40/annually
