Java Full Stack Developer with React

About the role:

• Work model: hybrid - 3 times weekly from the office

• Location: Mount Laurel - New Jersey, USA, USA

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java, J2EE, Multithread, Spring Boot, Kafka, Microservices, SQL, Any cloud and React. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable enterprise applications, mentoring junior developers, and supporting the complete SDLC including production support.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in **Front End development like React,**

+ 8+ years of experience in enterprise application development using: **Java** , **Spring Boot** , **REST APIs, Microservices architecture, SQL Server** and strong **database knowledge**

+ **React** (for frontend development)

+ Experience with **unit testing frameworks** (e.g., JUnit, Mockito)

+ Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies

+ Experience in **payment systems/domain** is a plus

+ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities:

+ Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise solutions using Java, Multithread, Spring Boot, Kafka Microservices, and React.

+ Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code along with unit test cases and use cases.

+ Ensure high-quality deliverables through unit testing and active participation in code reviews.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, UAT, and business analysts to ensure timely and accurate delivery of solutions.

+ Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and ensure best practices are followed.

+ Take ownership of production issues, troubleshoot critical problems, and implement long-term fixes to ensure high system availability.

+ Engage in database design and optimization using SQL Server and ensure application performance tuning.

+ Support the team in deployment activities using CI/CD tools and collaborate on DevOps practices

Salary and compensation:

The annual salary for this position will be between $68,000 to $114,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
