    Sidway Elementary and District (Homebound student 1:1)

    Salary:

    Per diem $170 with increase/retroactive to collective

     

    bargaining agreement after 40 days.

    Duties:

    A TA supports the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for young learners. Their responsibilities typically include assisting with classroom management, preparing learning materials, supporting students during lessons and activities, supervising during recess and meals, and helping to meet the social, emotional, and academic needs of students. The TA may work with small groups or 1:1.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Strong understanding of foundational skills to effectively support students' reading, writing, and math development

    • Communicate effectively with students

    • Cultural competency and sensitivity

    • Maintain a positive attitude

    • Patience and empathy

    • Build rapport with students

    Qualifications Desired:

    • Good organizational skills

    • Being resourceful

    • Mature active listening skills

    • Knowledge of de-escalation techniques
