Job Summary:
Precision Glass Molding is a unique lens manufacturing technology in the optics industry. As opposed to the traditional method of grinding and polishing a lens, we use high temperature and pressure to transform a simple lens blank made from optical grade glass, into a more complex lens. The molding takes place within a specialized machine in a clean, temperature-controlled environment.
You will:
+ Operate glass molding press machines, including loading and unloading components with care and precision.
+ Accurately record daily production metrics and maintain essential data logs.
+ Conduct visual inspections of lenses to ensure quality standards are met.
+ Use micrometers and other tools to perform precise mechanical measurements.
+ Organize and load lenses into trays for further processing.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
+ Demonstrate consistent attendance, reliability, and a strong work ethic—these are critical to success in this role.
+ Apply independent judgment when evaluating part quality for downstream operations.
+ Adhere strictly to established procedures and safety protocols for all tasks.
You have:
+ High School Diploma/GED Required
+ Good manual dexterity
+ Ability to multi-task and stay focused and follow directions.
+ Clear and effective communication skills.
+ Basic computer skills
+ Previous Optical Experience a plus but not required
+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents. Ability to communicate effectively to team members and management.
+ A solid grasp of basic math concepts for measurements and calculations.

Environment & Physical Demands
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand: use hands to fingers, handle or feel: and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch: and talk and hear.
+ The job may involve prolong periods of sitting/standing.
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
+ Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
+ The employee is required to use the computer.
+ May involve the use of oils and solvents.
+ Generally work in a clean environment and maintain the environment as such.
+ Safety Glasses are required
+ May require area specific safety training
+ May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shift from one station to another, during the production process.

B Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm
Employees will train on A shift for 2 - 4 weeks before transitioning to a B Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
