At Medtronic, we are seeking a visionary Vice President of Product Management to lead our product strategy and execution. In this pivotal role, you will be the architect of our product vision, the voice of the customer, and the champion of collaboration across teams. From concept to retirement, you will oversee the entire product lifecycle, ensuring our solutions deliver value to patients, providers, and the business.
This opportunity will put you front and center as we stand up a new function, Product Management, designed to address critical global and cross-functional needs within our business. The goal is to elevate the voice of the customer and business to ensure we are developing a portfolio of products and solutions. The function will work to create transparency in product portfolio decision-making with data-driven business cases aimed at exceeding our financial objectives. This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.
As a part of the Product Management team, you can expect to help the business in the following ways:
+ Create synergies across functions and regions through **end-to-end product lifecycle management** .
+ Leverage **Voice of Customer (VOX)** **(how is that** **gathered)** insights, competitive intelligence, and market feedback to shape product strategies.
+ Develop a **UX Design Vision** , ensuring customer experience metrics align with business goals.
+ Lead **product portfolio strategy** , including prioritization, globalization, and product rationalization efforts.
+ Collaborate on **training, product trade-offs, packaging, and growth optimization** strategies to drive product success.
+ Monitor **product performance metrics** to identify opportunities for improvement and manage obsolescence.

Key Responsibilities
As the VP of Product Management, you will:
+ **Shape the Vision:** Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to align with company objectives and market opportunities.
+ **Champion Customer-Centricity:** Incorporate VOC insights and data into product decisions to meet customer expectations and market demands.
+ **Drive Portfolio Excellence:** Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to retirement, ensuring alignment with business goals. Support portfolio management by aligning product scope changes with broader system impacts and business growth goals.
+ **Drive Innovation and Growth:** Identify and implement innovative solutions that differentiate Medtronic in the market and deliver meaningful impact to patients and stakeholders. Lead trade-off decisions and go-to-market strategies to ensure portfolio success.
+ **Foster Collaboration:** Partner with cross-functional teams, including Program Management, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Customer Support, to drive seamless execution.
+ **Lead and Develop Teams:** Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing product management team to deliver exceptional results.
Must-Have Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you will need:
+ A bachelor’s degree with at least 15 years of experience in Product Management and/or Product Design, including a minimum of 10 years in managerial roles. Alternatively, an advanced degree with at least 13 years of relevant experience and 10+ years of managerial experience.
+ Experience working collaboratively with engineering, research, design, and marketing teams.
Preferred Qualifications
+ A track record of building and executing winning product strategies.
+ To be willing to learn and understand the needs of people living with diabetes and the providers who serve them.
+ Advanced management and leadership expertise to lead cross-functional teams and drive results across multiple functions.
+ A strong technical aptitude to identify risks, understand technical trade-offs, and make informed decisions.
+ Business acumen to manage product P&L, understand business cases, and balance trade-offs effectively.
+ Proven experience in commercial customer marketing, with a track record of close collaboration and interaction with customers.
+ A strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
+ Exceptional communication skills to effectively articulate product strategies and updates to stakeholders.
+ A collaborative leadership style that fosters teamwork and drives alignment across diverse teams.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$311,000 – $346,000
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico. Base pay is based on numerous factors and may vary by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, etc. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).
Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns. Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
