We have an outstanding career opportunity for aProject Managerto join a leading Company located in theUnion, SC.
Give strategic guidance to teams and project managers with the goal of providing the most efficient and reliable equipment, standards, and processes available to meet the company's goals of continually improving products and services, providing value to the customers, ensuring integrity in relationships with employees, vendors, and the community, and being committed to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities :
+ Provide an atmosphere that challenges the teams to continually develop and refine the process and standards that provide value to the company.
+ Coordinates the efforts of the functional departments, as required, to ensure that the programs are conducted in accordance with the requirements of sales orders and budgets.
+ Interfaces with customers on schedules, meetings, and problems.
+ Keeps the customer informed on the program status.
+ Establish and oversee all aspects of an ongoing program from planning to final buy, providing direction to the program team to ensure program deliverables are met to internal and external customer expectations.
+ Lead launch activities for assigned programs and report program status at monthly Technical Reviews.
+ Understand and comply with all company PRL H&S and OSHA safety requirements.
+ Understand and comply with all ISO/ TS/Customer Quality systems and environmental requirements.
+ Apply GPCS and Team Center methodology and tools to manage the project.
+ Ensure that the product meets or exceeds the company's Quality standards and is delivered at the correct time.
+ Evaluate and help the launch leader develop their knowledge and skills to become more valuable assets.
+ Lead Engineering Change activities throughout launch and production.
+ Manage quoting activities for engineering changes and schedule and lead change negotiations.
+ Work with the finance team to establish and maintain financial models.
Basic Hiring Criteria :
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering.
+ Minimum 5 years of automotive manufacturing experience.
Desired Qualifications :
+ Exposure to metal stamping and metal stamping assembly processes.
+ In-depth knowledge of engineering change procedures.
+ Ability to represent us positively and productively under all conditions involving direct customer interface.
+ General understanding of program financials.
+ Must possess good analytical and leadership abilities.
+ Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
+ Excellent verbal and written skills.
+ Strong people skills with a willingness to empower the team.
+ Effectively able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
+ Clear understanding of Lean Principles & Tools.
+ Knowledge of project management principles.
