ABOUT YOU
As an Airport Operations Shift Manager (Bargaining Unit, Local Union No. 25) , your leadership, organizational, and communication skills, solidifies your unwavering commitment to safeguarding the well-being of all airport users. You have a keen attention to detail, a decisive approach during emergencies, and a thorough understanding of FAA regulations, airport security protocols, and environmental compliance. You adeptly oversee airport safety and security, manage access control systems and ID badge policies, ensure budget compliance, and coordinate emergency responses while cultivating positive relationships with various stakeholders. Ultimately, your role centers on a mission to prioritize safety, security, and efficiency, upholding Worcester airport's mission to serve the community and its travelers with excellence.
What you will do:
+ Maintains safe and compliant airport operations through inspections, issue resolution, and adherence to FAA and Massport standards.
+ Coordinates with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance, construction, and emergency events.
+ Manage snow removal coordination and oversee operational responses to weather events and emergencies, ensuring timely communication and safe reopening of airport surfaces.
+ Leads cross-functional collaboration, supervises personnel, and supports strategic planning to uphold safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
WHAT YOU OFFER
+ Bachelor’s degree in aviation science, business administration, or equivalent professional airport experience.
+ 5–7 years of airport or airline operations experience; supervisory and public contact experience preferred.
+ Familiarity with FAA regulations, airport maintenance practices, and ability to complete ACE Operations certification.
+ Knowledge or experience in airport maintenance, snow removal, rubber removal and crack repair.
