Teacher for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing | $TBD/hr | Full-Time | Tulsa, OK | 2025–2026 School Year
Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role begins October 27, 2025, and runs through May 21, 2026.
Position Overview:
+ Location: Tulsa, OK
+ Start Date: October 27, 2025
+ End Date: May 21, 2026
+ Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, availability needed between 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (varies by grade level)
+ Modality: In-person
+ Interview Type: Virtual or in-person
+ Grade Level & Classroom Type: Details provided during interview
+ Caseload: TBD
+ Support: Classroom support provided
+ Group Support Model: Yes
Responsibilities:
+ Teach academic subjects using regular or adapted curriculum
+ Provide services to students who are deaf and/or hard of hearing
+ Collaborate with families and school staff to ensure required services are delivered
+ Support students in their home school environments
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (preferred)
+ Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate in Special Education and hearing impaired (or ability to obtain)
+ Knowledge of ASL and amplification devices
+ Experience with deaf and hard-of-hearing students (preferred)
+ Understanding of IEPs, MEEGS process, and IDEA 2004
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
+ Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
+ CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
