Operational Lead - Service

As an Operations Lead here at Honeywell you will be an integral part of our Services Organization. This role will be responsible for overseeing operations in the US & C region, managing our in-house repair facility, and coordinating with repair vendors and outsourced service providers. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of end-to-end repair processes and meet service delivery commitments.
You will report directly to the Director Sub-Region - Hand Held Products and you will work out of our Charlotte location on an on-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the company by ensuring the successful execution and enhancement of our operations, which in turn can contribute to the organization’s overall success and competitiveness in the market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operations Management:
2. Schedule and manage daily repair depot activities.
3. Supervise the layout and setup of repair stations to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency.
4. Manage contract repair and exchange activities to achieve performance to contracted terms.
5. Oversee and manage exchange and spare parts inventory, including forecasting, ordering, replenishing, and expediting to meet requirements.
6. Manage the administration of repair operations, including successful applications of contract, warranty, and billable repairs.
7. Record Keeping and Reporting:
8. Maintain accurate records on repair activity, missed SLAs, bounce rates, and cost per repair.
9. Provide periodic status and trends reports for key areas to senior management.
10. Vendor Management:
11. Manage relationships with external repair vendors and outsourced service providers, ensuring compliance with SLAs.
12. Supervision and Team Development:
13. Measure and evaluate the performance of repair technicians and administrative support team members.
14. Develop, coach, and formally evaluate direct report team members.
15. Continuous Improvement:
16. Help drive productivity improvement initiatives across all service depots.
17. Conduct Gemba walks and promote Kaizen and 5S methodologies to enhance safety culture and operational efficiency.
18. Develop processes and procedures for handling critical customer issues.
19. Shipping and Logistics:
20. Supervise shipping and receiving activities related to the repair center and logistical operations.
21. Compliance:
22. Ensure adherence to all state, local, and federal laws and regulations, as well as embrace Honeywell core values and initiatives.
**YOU MUST HAVE** :
+ Minimum of [3] years of experience in operations management, preferably in a service-oriented environment.
+ Proven experience managing repair facilities and vendor relationships.
+ Strong understanding of repair processes and service delivery frameworks.
+ Proficient in data analysis tools and reporting software.
**WE VALUE** :
+ Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
