    As a Sr Automation Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to improve efficiency and productivity. You will work on various projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of automation initiatives and the delivery of high-quality solutions.

     

    You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Geneva, OH location on a on-site work schedule.

     

    In this role, you will impact the overall performance of our automation systems, driving improvements and innovations that contribute to the success of our engineering operations.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Design, implement, and optimize automation systems for various engineering projects.

    • Lead automation engineering efforts, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement in automation processes.

    YOU MUST HAVE

    • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics Engineering or similar engineering degree AND 8+ years of experience as an Automation engineer developing PLC programs for production plants in an industrial setting OR Associate's degree with 12 + years of automation/plc experience.

    • Strong knowledge of automation systems and control technologies.

    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or PLC programming.

    • Experience with automation tools and technologies such as SCADA, HMI, and DCS systems.

    • Proficiency and experience with Allen Bradley platforms with a proven record of PLC process control system software development.

    • Developing and delivering custom automation systems - 8+ yrs

    • 5+ Years’ experience 2D/3D CAD programs for electrical & mechanical schematics.
