    Start Date: ASAP

     

    Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

     

    Contract Length: 10 weeks (through Winter Break)

     

    Hours: 35 hours/week

     

    Grade Level: 9th–12th

     

    Setting: Mild/Moderate Special Education Classrooms

    Position Overview:

    SMJUHSD is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support high school students in a mild/moderate special education setting. This is a short-term, in-person opportunity ideal for an SLPA looking to make an immediate impact in a supportive school environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP

    + Assist in implementing therapy plans and activities

    + Support students in achieving communication goals

    + Maintain accurate documentation of student progress

    + Collaborate with school staff and special education teams

    Requirements:

    + Active California SLPA License

    + Previous school-based experience preferred

    + Must be comfortable working with high school students in special education settings

    Compensation:

    + Local Pay Rate: $52/hour

    + Travel Weekly Pay: $2,200
