Product Manager - AMS

Manages a small team and supports product management contribution to strategy development, the translation of set strategies into product or service definitions, the coordination of product distributions, sales, marketing, education, and the evaluation of the product and services portfolio. Regular contact with internal customers and external information sources is necessary to obtain, clarify, or provide accurate facts and information.
Responsibilities:
+ Contribute to the development and implementation of product management strategy for Asset Management Services, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities and ensuring integration with wider department, PCG, and firm strategy.
+ Evolve the AMS growth strategy for anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities. Ensure the plan is successfully implemented and meets medium-term business needs.
+ Take responsibility for developing and delivering the strategic planning approach for AMS.
+ Take responsibility for developing and delivering a major part of the organization's product development program.
+ Participate in the development of corporate strategy, applying functional expertise to test the viability of the plan and contributing creative ideas and insights to support the strategy formation process.
+ Communicate the function's strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision, and values; clarify the actions needed to implement this strategy within the area of responsibility; motivate people to commit to the mission, vision, and values and do extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals.
+ Identify and manage stakeholders up to and including top management level throughout the firm’s organization, finding out their needs, issues, and concerns and reacting to them by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions.
+ Manage and report on the performance of the function/business area; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
+ Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs of a significant business area through analysis and feedback from key constituents, evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities. Motivate others to develop their capabilities and fulfill their personal potential. Build capabilities elsewhere in the organization through mentoring and other informal methods.
+ Provide authoritative specialist advice to the leadership team of AMS to guide the implementation of policy and the design and implementation of projects and change initiatives.

Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Finance or similar analytical program and 10 to 12 years of relevant experience required. MBA preferred, other relevant designations a plus.
