NVIDIA has been redefining computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years, driven by exceptional technology and outstanding individuals. Our GPU acts as the brains of immersive digital worlds and creative applications. We are seeking an exceptional System Software Engineering Manager to help us lead one of our core graphics driver teams. In this role, you will help set the SW architecture, technical direction, and priorities for our embedded Linux, QNX graphics and display stacks. This means working deeply with Vulkan, Wayland, NvMedia2D and their internal implementations. As part of this, you’ll work closely with the camera, display, GPU, and chips bring-up teams to deliver on next generation GPUs and accelerated IP blocks. This is a chance to evolve Vulkan to new frontiers of neural rendering, embracing Wayland/Weston replacing X11, and perf tuning our embedded system graphics and display stacks to run blazingly fast on DGX Spark, DriveWorks, and Isaac platforms.

What you'll be doing:
+ Lead a world-class team of software engineers to deliver innovative real-time user mode drivers that enable breakthrough performance in low-power, high-performance solutions for NVIDIA's GPUs and display technologies.
+ Create and own team strategy, roadmaps, and schedules.
+ Provide architectural and technical guidance to the team and ensure that the best engineering practices are followed.
+ Work closely with HW teams to architect graphics and display system software and bring-up next generation chips
+ Review and identify improvement opportunities in established processes, infrastructure, and practices to ensure the teams are operating in the most efficient and transparent manner.
+ Collaborate with peer engineering teams, and program/product management to ensure that product requirements, goals and objectives are met or exceeded.
+ Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of the team members.
What we need to see:
+ Degree (Bachelors, Masters) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience with 10+ overall years of working experience in embedded domain, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
+ Deep understanding of SoC principles, general systems architectures, operating systems, device drivers, memory management, multithreading, and real-time scheduling.
+ Relevant working experience in device drivers and Firmware development with embedded technologies on Linux or QNX.
+ Excellent software development skills (C, C++) and proven experience in leading cross-functional software teams to deliver high quality production software in a fast-paced environment.
+ Proven track record of creative problem-solving abilities
+ Outstanding leadership, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills with the ability to successfully lead a global and diverse team operating in a fast-paced environment.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
+ Consistent track record of shipping production quality GPU enabled graphics / display drivers and/or frameworks
+ Experience in DSP, computer vision and image/signal processing.
+ Understanding of safety-critical software principles and processes in automotive or other highly regulated industries.
+ Proven record to effectively guide and influence in a technically strong dynamic environment.
Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 3, and 272,000 USD - 425,500 USD for Level 4.
