    + JOB REQUIREMENTS

    + Education

    + Graduation from High school with some advanced technical training.

    + Experience

    + Requires on-the-job training to become familiar with department procedures. Prefer health related field experience and/or allied health sciences with demonstrated knowledge in medical terminology, alphanumeric filing, knowledge of computers, copiers, and fax machines. Good communication skills. Experience with EMR preferred.

    + This position requires being seated at a computer monitor almost 95% of the time. A small amount of physical work which may include lifting a maximum of 10 pounds. Normal hospital environment. Close eye work and hearing within normal range. Oral communication. Operates computer and standard office equipment, and scanners. Occasional walking, bending, and climbing.

    + JOB SUMMARY

    + The Transportation Coordinator Performs a wide range of duties including departmental correspondence, answers phone and schedules transportation for TLH participants . Position is responsible for efficient scheduling of TLH driver routes and proper use of external transport resources. Maintains confidentiality of patient information at all times. Works with EMR system, Excel Participant Scheduler, and TLH Enrollment Roster and various other sources regarding data entry, chart retrieval, chart tracking, chart faxing, etc. Will be responsible for accuracy and currentness of records, expediting chart completion. Will collect and maintain other data necessary to maintain vehicle operations and accurate reporting to both internal and external sources.
