Account Executive/ Broker II, Construction Practice
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting a global construction account performing heavy civils work. This role has a very heavy emphasis on service delivery; ensuring the client’s needs are promptly and accurately satisfied; all deadlines are met on a timely basis; internal and client standards are maintained, while managing assignments independently and creatively. Position is multi-faceted centered on client services, broking, account management, analytics, QA/QC and financial responsibilities.
This is a hybrid role with three to four days in our Houston, TX office per week upon successful unit integration and client socialization. Position resides within a non-conformed dedicated client service team. The unit is a very flat organization where members’ roles and responsibilities are dependently interrelated, ie, not siloed – we collectively own our successes.
Aon is in the business of better decisions
At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.
As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.
Broad Overview
Client servicing is priority one. No ask or task is too small and can take any form – issue a simple certificate to placing a complex insurance program. It starts with a call or email followed by an immediate acknowledgement, ownership and then delivery. It can be a one person show or an entire team effort.
Role requires client and market facing activities with regards to gathering underwriting data, including contract review, and financial analysis used for broking insurance placements either independently or with other unit members. Prepare market submission and ensure market responses conform with submission. Create insurance proposal and present to client to obtain binding decision then ensure that the bound insurances conform with all terms, including financial terms.
As respects contractor insurance programs and working with other unit members, the role requires working with the client to collect information concerning self-performed and subcontracted scopes of work and coordinating delivery services by unit members and the centralized Aon service team. This often requires communication with the subcontractors and liaising with the client’s contract formation group. Ensures flow of communication, dissemination of information, progress reporting and resolution of issues with the client.
Financial responsibilities touch on invoicing, routine reconciliations and transactions, collateral management and reporting, monitoring loss sensitive programs including complex reconciliations involving claims and premium data, tracking/documenting historical information from previous adjustments and sometimes forensics.
As respects client data management, Aon as well as other client brokers, populate the client’s RMIS with policy documents, transactional and policy placement data. Role requires adherence to process and protocols to upload, reconcile and when necessary, repair Aon data as well as participate on continuous improvements to client’s RMIS.
QA/QC ensures regulatory, internal and client compliance. Members perform “second pair of eyes” exercises, independent and peer reviews to safeguard against or correct errors. Treat every opportunity as a process improvement exercise. Position has oversight responsibility for certain work processes.
