    At CMCS (Cardinal McCloskey Community Services), our mission is to protect, empower and promote independence for at-risk children and families and those with developmental disabilities through quality community based services.

     

    As an Operations Mangager, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and safety of the program's physical environment, ensuring it is safe, accessible.. They manage staff, schedule services, perform inspections, and maintain records to comply with federal regulations and support the delivery of high-quality Head Start services.

     

    Education & Experience

     

    + Caring, upbeat personality.

    + An Associate or Bachelor's in related field.

    + Minimum High school Diploma or GED.

    + Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with Head Start Performance Standards, NYC DOHMH, FDNY, OSHA, ADA, and other applicable federal, state, local building codes and requirements.

    + Knowledge of ECE systems including HS/EHS and DOE facilities and operations.

    Additional Requirements

    + Safety & Compliance: Strong understanding of environmental health and safety protocols, emergency preparedness, and ability to implement corrective actions when required.

    + Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to supervise custodial/maintenance staff, provide training, and work collaboratively with program leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and child-friendly learning environments.

    + Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to respond effectively to emergencies and resolve facility-related challenges promptly.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Flexibility to manage multiple priorities, respond to urgent facility issues, and adjust to changing program needs.
