    Compensation:

    The wage range listed represents the potential compensation opportunities for this position. Starting salary will be thoughtfully determined by the hiring manager based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, education, relevant skills, and qualifications brought to the role. The initial offer could be any amount within the posted range, reflecting our commitment to fair and competitive compensation.

    Our Customer’s Mission:

    Team Epsilon has been chosen to deliver full-spectrum IT and Cyber Security support to a critical and enduring multinational organization within the United States Department of Defense. This DoD organization manages the resourcing, development and sustainment of one of our nation’s most coveted and capable platforms. Our role in this mission involves managing classified environments, supporting international partners and foreign military sales (FMS) clients, providing top-tier desk-side support, and offering adaptable enterprise infrastructure solutions. Our services, ranging from systems administration and network engineering to Information security and data center management, are essential to the mission's success, so we’re looking for team members who are committed to delivering excellence without compromise and who view customer service as a top priority.

    An average day:

    As Security Specialist II, you will oversee and enhance the security operations of a Department of Defense (DoD) facility. This role includes managing advanced physical security systems, conducting in-depth vulnerability assessments, manage classified materials, and ensuring strict compliance with federal security regulations. You will work closely with senior security personnel to implement, monitor, and refine security policies and procedures while serving as a point of escalation for complex security matters. Additionally, in this position you will:

     

    + Implement, enforce, and improve physical security measures in compliance with federal regulations, including NISPOM, ICDs, and DoD standards.

    + Provide construction surveillance support during the development of a new secure facility, monitoring for security compliance and threats.

    + Conduct detailed risk and vulnerability assessments, recommending and executing corrective actions as needed.

    + Oversee the management and maintenance of advanced access control systems, ensuring the integrity of security credentials and badging processes.

    + Monitor, respond to, and analyze alarms and surveillance system data to identify and mitigate threats.

    + Lead routine and unannounced inspections of the facility to assess and enhance physical security measures.

    + Manage visitor control processes, including pre-screening, clearance verification, and compliance with escort requirements.

    + Develop and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs) and physical security protocols.

    + Oversee the control and accountability of classified materials, including the creation, storage, dissemination, and destruction processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with NISPOM, ICDs, and DoD regulations.

    + Conduct regular and ad-hoc inspections and audits of classified material storage and handling procedures, addressing discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.

    + Serve as a subject matter expert on classified material management procedures, providing training and guidance to personnel on proper safeguarding practices, and regulatory requirements

    + Act as a liaison with contractors, vendors, and external agencies to ensure adherence to security standards.

    + Investigate, document, and report complex security incidents, providing detailed analyses to appropriate authorities.

    + Plan and deliver advanced security training, briefings, and emergency response drills to ensure personnel readiness.

    + Assist with preparation for and execution of government security audits and inspections, addressing findings effectively.

    + Collaborate with senior security personnel to design and implement long-term security enhancements.

    + Stay informed about new technologies and evolving physical security best practices, recommending updates to systems and protocols.

    + Maintain accurate and detailed records of security operations, incidents, and audits.

    + Provide leadership and guidance to junior security staff, mentoring them in best practices and compliance.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C) , Epsilon will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions.

    + Bachelor’s degree in security, criminal justice, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent experience.

    + 3–5 years of experience in physical security, law enforcement, or related roles, preferably in a DoD or classified environment.

    + In-depth knowledge of security regulations, including NISPOM, ICDs, and DoD physical security requirements.

    + Demonstrated experience managing classified materials in a DoD or industrial security environment, including implementing procedures for accountability, storage, and destruction in compliance with NISPOM and ICD requirements.

    + Hands-on experience with advanced security systems, including:

    + Access Control Platforms (e.g., Lenel, AMAG).

    + Intrusion Detection Systems.

    + Surveillance Technologies (e.g., CCTV, IP cameras).

    + Strong ability to conduct and lead risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

    + Experience with security databases and tools, such as DISS, for personnel and facility clearance management.

    + Demonstrated capability in creating SOPs, security policies, and incident response plans.

    + Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage complex operations.

    + Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare detailed reports and conduct briefings.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related documentation tools.

    Other Requirements:

    + Must have an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility. ( _This is a federal contract position and requires candidates to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of Security Clearance or Public Trust. Adjudication of the required Security Clearance or Public Trust is determined solely by the government. If the government determines that the candidate cannot obtain and/or maintain the appropriate level of Security Clearance or Public Trust, Epsilon will be unable to place the candidate in this position.)_

    + Will be subject to a federal background investigation.

    + Requires on-site presence during construction and normal business operations.

    + Periodic travel to support security audits or inspections may be necessary.

    + An on-call rotation for emergencies may be required for this position.
