    Position Details

    + Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

    + Rotation: Includes weekends and holidays on a rotating basis

    + Location: UPMC Williamsport Rehab Acute Specialty Department

    •️ What You'll Do

    + Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

    + Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient progress and physician referrals.

    + Supervise occupational therapy assistants and collaborate on patient care strategies.

    + Maintain accurate documentation, including assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

    + Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and interdisciplinary team members.

    + Provide home care instructions and support for patients and families.

    + Participate in student education and mentorship through clinical internships.

    + Ensure compliance with licensing and continuing education requirements.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Education & Certification

    + Degree: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program approved by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).

    + Licensure: Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of practice.

    + Certification:

    + National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification (AHA standards with both didactic and skills demonstration) within 30 days of hire.

    Clearances (Required for Employment)

    + Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance (with renewal)

    + Act 34 Criminal Background Check (with renewal)

    + Act 73 FBI Fingerprint Clearance (with renewal)

    + Clinical Expertise: Strong understanding of human growth and development across the lifespan.

    + Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

    + Documentation: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical records and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

    + Professional Development: Actively engaged in continuing education and professional growth; participation in healthcare industry organizations is preferred.

    + Organizational Skills: Skilled in planning, delegation, follow-up, and managing stress in a fast-paced environment.

    + Compliance: Completion of all mandatory system, business unit, and facility-specific orientations and competencies.

    + This role may involve working in areas where medications are stored; however, no direct contact with medications is permitted.
